Meet your pets new best friend…….. You and your pets are sure to have a positive experience working with Jenn. She combines a gentle approach to rehabilitation sessions with a spunky, can-do attitude. Jenn has extensive experience in orthopedic, neurologic, weight loss, and fitness rehabilitation. She is always willing to spend extra time with worried pet owners to answer their questions and work collaboratively to provide effective treatment programs. Her clinical background includes private, referral, and academic companion animal practices, mobile and racetrack equine practices, surgical equine practice, and wildlife rehabilitation.
Jenn’s Credentials: - Registered Veterinary Technologist (Seneca College, Ontario, 2005) - Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (University of Tennessee, 2006) - Certified Osteoarthritis Case Manager (University of Tennessee, 2012) - Companion Animal Pain Management Certificate (University of Tennessee, 2014) - Veterinary Technician Specialty (Physical Rehabilitation, 2017) - Charter Member of The Academy of Physical Rehabilitation Veterinary Technicians (APRVT) - Fear Free Certified Professional (2018)
Jenn is excited to share her skills with The SPAW clients and externship students. She frequently lectures and teaches at veterinary meetings and conferences. Jenn believes a comprehensive rehabilitation program achieves “mobility for longevity, happy pets, and happy people.” When not at The SPAW, she can be found teaching large animal farm laboratory sessions for the Veterinary Technology Program at Douglas College, camping and hiking with her son Connor, riding her retired Standardbred racehorse “Player,” or spending time with their quirky dog (a former SPAW patient!) “Phil.”
